NTID Asst VP Finance & Operations

Details: NTID Finance and Operations is responsible for providing financial and operational services to the college of the National Technical Institute for the Deaf, NTID, one of 8 colleges within the Rochester Institute of Technology. The NTID Asst. VP for Finance and Operations reports directly to the President of NTID and, as a member of the President's Administrative Council, is a key member of the college's leadership team, contributing to the overall college strategy and operations.  The organization’s responsibilities include: financial reporting; financial and operations policy and procedure for the financial sustainability of NTID; budget preparation and monitoring of the college’s budget; assistance in college strategic planning and policy development and implementation; college operations; facilities planning, operation, scheduling and maintenance oversight; management of information resources (IT) and operations policy and procedure for information and technology deployment and support; management of the Dyer Arts Center and NTID’s art collection.The Assistant VP for Finance and Operations serves as the chief financial officer for NTID, reporting directly to the President of NTID, VP and Dean RIT.  Specifically, this individual is responsible for providing leadership regarding NTID financial and operational matters, including: all matters related to planning, provision and monitoring of administrative services related to budgeting, accounting, financial management; information management (including information security, document retention management, and business continuity planning), Help Desk management; technology deployment of both capital and non-capital assets; facilities management; space use management; event scheduling and support; and, Dyer Art Center management. Within Finance and Operations this individual’s management duties will include, but is not limited to the creation and implementation of: policies and standards; structural, organizational and resource assignment determinations; establishment and monitoring of outcomes assessment tools and processes; and ensuring NTID’s compliance with both internal and external business requirements (rules, policies, laws, standards, and appropriate federal, state and local requirements). The individual will work closely with the RIT office of Senior VP of Finance & Administration to ensure RIT-wide policies and practices are adopted and followed within the college of NTID as necessary. This will require working very closely with the following Institute offices: Budget & Financial Planning Services, Controller, Environmental Health & Safety, Facilities Management Services, and the Information & Technology Services & CIO Office. The college of NTID has an annual budget of $85M, a student body of approximately 1,450 students, and a faculty/staff of approximately 600.
